Welcome to GoBananasDating (the "App"). This policy outlines how the App operated by GoBananasDating, LLC, collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal data. We comply with federal requirements and specific regional laws: Virginia's VCDPA, Maryland's ODPA (effective Jan 2026), and applicable D.C. privacy standards.

Event Ticketing & Purchases
When you purchase event tickets through GoBananas, we collect and process the following information:
- Event details (name, date, location, ticket tier selected)
- Purchase information (quantity, amount paid, discounts or promo codes applied)
- Transaction identifiers (payment reference IDs for order tracking and refund processing)
This information is used to fulfill your ticket purchase, provide access to events, and facilitate refunds when applicable. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or full payment card details — all payment processing is handled by third-party processors (see Payment Processing section below).
Payment Processing
GoBananas uses third-party payment processors to handle all financial transactions. We do not store your payment card information on our servers.

When you make a payment, we receive a transaction confirmation (including a reference ID, amount, and status) from the payment processor. We do not receive or store your full card number.
Refund Policy
Refund policies for paid events are determined by the event organizer at the time of event creation. The following refund options may apply:
- Full Refund — A full refund is available at any time before the event.
- Time-Based Refund — A refund is available if cancelled within a specified number of hours before the event (set by the organizer).
- No Refund — No refund is issued upon cancellation.
Refunds are processed through the original payment method via Stripe. Partial cancellations (e.g., cancelling 1 of 3 tickets) are supported, with a proportional refund issued for the cancelled portion. Refund processing times depend on your bank or card issuer and typically take 5–10 business days to appear on your statement.
Data Retention
- Active users: data kept while account active.
- Cookies, logs, consents: 1-5 years.
- Financial transaction records (purchases, refunds, and payment status): retained for a minimum of 7 years for tax, legal, and accounting compliance, even after account deletion.

Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. Data is shared only with:
- Service providers, including Stripe (payment processing), Apple (Apple Pay), Google (Google Pay), and analytics providers. These providers only receive the data necessary to perform their services and are contractually bound to protect your information.
- Law enforcement when legally required.
Age
Only for users 18+. If under-18 data is found, we'll delete it immediately.
Data Location
Data is stored in the U.S. by our cloud providers. Using the app indicates consent to that storage.
Policy Change
We'll notify you of material updates via in-app/email alerts. Continued use after updates means acceptance.
