Welcome to GoBananasDating (the "App"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to your use of the App provided by GoBananasDating LLC ("we","us","our"). By accepting or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our privacy policy.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old. You confirm you are legally allowed to use the App in Virginia, Maryland, and D.C.
By using the App, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18, not barred from using the App, and will comply with all local laws, including those in Washington D.C., Virginia, and Maryland.
Objectives
Our mission is to help people engage more in real life and feel part of a stronger local community. We encourage meaningful social interaction through shared activities, events, and interests, moving beyond screen-based communication toward real-world participation.
By offering just enough personal context, the app helps people feel comfortable and aligned when joining group activities—without any romantic intent. Meeting face-to-face allows individuals to connect naturally, enjoy shared experiences, and build genuine social connections that support well-being and a sense of belonging.
Our primary goals are:

User Accounts & Conduct
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the information in your account, and maintaining confidentiality of your credentials.
- Conduct on the App must be respectful, lawful, and not infringe upon the rights of others. Prohibited behaviors include but not limited to harassment, impersonation, and hate speech.
- You agree to not share and record private profiles and messages without consent.
- You're responsible for your own actions and interactions. Assume risk of meeting in real life. You attend events and meetups at your own risk.
- You accept all risks of interacting with other users or attending events outside the app.
- We do not prescreen or background-check users. We're not responsible for actions or behavior of any user or event host.
- We maintain a zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). Users are strictly prohibited from uploading, sharing, or promoting any sexual content involving minors, or engaging in grooming, exploitation, or any inappropriate interactions with minors. Violations will result in immediate content removal, account suspension or termination, and may be reported to law enforcement and relevant authorities.
- Safety guidelines matter: always meet in public areas, inform someone of your plans, secure your own transportation, and exercise your judgment.
- Report issues or unsafe behavior promptly through the app or site—we may suspend or remove problematic users.
- You release us from liability for any personal injury, loss, or harm during in-person meetings or events, except when legally required otherwise.
- Don’t move chats off-platform prematurely
- Meet in public places
- Never share money or personal info
- Tell friends/family, when meeting a person you do not know well enough
- Don’t leave drinks unattended
- Leave if you feel unsafe
- Report harassment or inappropriate behavior. Users can report suspected violations via in-app reporting tools or by contacting us at safety@gobananasdating.com.
User-Generated Content
You're responsible for all content you share. We may use or remove content per these Terms.
By using this application, you agree not to upload, share, or distribute any content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, sexually explicit, or offensive. We prohibit pornographic content, nudity that is sexual in nature, and any content that is sexually explicit or offensive. We may remove or limit access to any content that violates these terms.
Content you post (photos, video, messages) is your responsibility. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, modify and display it. We review user-submitted images and profile information to monitor content for safety and policy compliance before it is made visible to other users.
You must own or have rights to all contents you post. We may remove content or suspend accounts for violation, without notice.
You may not post or share any content that:- Is obscene, sexually explicit, pornographic, or otherwise offensive
- Includes nudity intended to arouse, solicit, or harass
- Contains slurs, hate speech, threats, or graphic violence
- Violates any laws or community standards
Age Verification and Safety
You must be 18+ and accurately provide age information.
We may require identity and age verification at our discretion.
Text Messaging
By using our services, you agree that we may send you text messages (SMS) for the following purposes:
- One-Time Login Codes – to verify your identity and provide secure access to your account.
- Informational Notifications – such as confirmations, important updates about our application, changes to our policies, or service availability notices.
Standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply. You may opt out of receiving informational texts at any time by following the instructions included in the message or contacting our support team. Please note that certain transactional messages (such as login codes) are required to use the service and cannot be opted out of.
We will not send promotional or marketing text messages.
Privacy
We collect and use personal information as described in our privacy policy.
You have the right to access, correct, and delete your personal information in compliance with Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia.
Dispute Resolution & Governing Law
Any claim or dispute arising out of or relating to your use of the App will be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflicts of law principles. Except where prohibited by law, you agree that disputes must be resolved exclusively through final and binding arbitration conducted in Fairfax County, Virginia. The arbitration will be administered by a recognized arbitration provider under its applicable rules, and judgment on the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.
If you reside in the District of Columbia or the State of Maryland, and if applicable law in those jurisdictions prohibits mandatory arbitration of consumer disputes, then this arbitration agreement will not apply to you. In such cases, disputes will instead be resolved in the state or federal courts located in the jurisdiction where you reside, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you waive the right to participate in class actions, class arbitrations, or other representative actions related to disputes under this Agreement. If any part of this dispute resolution provision is found unenforceable, the remaining terms will continue to apply.
Modification of Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We'll provide notice (e.g. in-app notification, text message, email)
Continued use of the App after changes constitute acceptance of the new Terms.
Payment & Fees
Subscription
Access to premium features of the App is offered through paid subscription plans. Subscriptions may be purchased on a monthly, multi-month, or other recurring basis as disclosed at the time of purchase. The specific fees, billing cycles, and benefits of each subscription plan will be displayed in the App at the time of sign-up.
Automatic Renewal and Recurring Charges
By enrolling in a subscription plan, you authorize the App to charge the payment method you provide on a recurring basis (monthly or as otherwise specified in the plan) until you cancel. Unless you cancel before the end of your current billing cycle, your subscription will automatically renew for the same term and at the then-current subscription rate.
Free Trials and Promotional Offers
If you receive a free trial or promotional offer, you must cancel before the end of the trial period to avoid being charged. If you do not cancel, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid plan and your payment method will be charged at the standard subscription rate.
Cancellation Policy
You may cancel your subscription at any time through the App settings or your device’s app store subscription management page. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to premium features until the end of your current billing period, after which your subscription will not renew and no further charges will apply.
Refund
Except where required by law, all payments are non-refundable and there are no refunds or credits for partial subscription periods. If you reside in Washington, DC, Maryland, or Virginia, you may be entitled to certain consumer rights, including refunds or the ability to cancel recurring charges within a specified time frame under local law. Any such rights will be honored as required by applicable law.
Billing and Payment Information
You agree to keep your billing information (including payment method and contact details) accurate and up-to-date. If a payment is declined, we may suspend or terminate your subscription until valid payment information is provided.
Changes to Subscription Fees
We may change the price of subscription plans from time to time. Any price changes will be communicated to you in advance, and will not take effect until the start of your next billing cycle. If you do not agree to the new price, you may cancel your subscription before the change takes effect.
Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts for violations. Also, you may delete your account anytime.
